A meeting of the Inter Boards Coordination Commission was held on 27th October 2023 in which an outstanding decision was taken that a new grading system for Matric & Intermediate Certificates will be implemented in the Annual Examination Result of Matric & Intermediate in 2024. The New Grading System GPA and CGPA will be implemented in 2024 for the Intermediate Exam.
New Grading System Matric & Intermediate Certificates
Grade Point Average and Cumulative Grade Point Average will be printed on the Intermediate Result Card wef the Annual Examination 2024.
Before this, 07 Point Grading System was adopted. The Old grading system of marks in the HSSC Exam was (A-1, A, B, C, D, E, F).
Now the 10 Point Grading System has been introduced to save the children getting stress from the society as they get low marks.
New Grading Criteria of Marks on Result Card
The New Grading Criteria of Marks on Result Card is described as;

B | 70% to 74% | Fairy Good | 3.3 |
C | 60% to 69% | Above Average | 3.0 |
D | 50% to 59% | Average | 2.0 |
E | 40% to 49% | Below Average | 1.0 |
u | Less than 40% | Unsatisfactory | 0 |
Passing Marks 40% in Upcoming Exam
Passing Marks also have been increased from 33% to 40%. Now Students have to get good marks to pass the Matric and Intermediate Examination.
