Program Details:
Admissions for the Lady Health Visitor (LHV) program for the 2023-2025 session are now open across 11 public sector schools in Punjab, each affiliated with different districts. All female candidates holding a Punjab domicile are eligible to apply for the LHV course. This opportunity is open to all women – whether unmarried, married, or widowed. The Government of Punjab is proud to announce these admissions for aspiring Lady Health Workers.
Session Information:
The LHV Program for the 2023-2025 session is now accepting applications. These admissions are available in 11 public health nursing schools across Punjab. Remember, you must have a Punjab domicile to apply.
Eligibility Criteria:
The program is open only to female candidates. The following are the requirements for applying to the LHV program, which is a two-year course:
- Matric: You should have at least 45% marks in Matric Science.
- F.Sc: You need to have at least 45% marks in F.Sc (Pre-Medical).
- ID: A Domicile certificate or B-Form is required.
- Age: Candidates should not be older than 35 years as of November 3, 2023.
- Medical Certificate: A medical certificate attested by a Medical Officer is needed.
Application Last Date:
Candidates interested in joining the Lady Health Visitor (LHV) program must submit their applications by November 10, 2023. You can download the application form from the official website. Please note that late or incomplete applications will not be considered. Classes are scheduled to start on 20 November, 2023.
Latest Update on LHV Admissions:
The last date for LHV admissions has been extended to November 21, 2023, due to a recent smart lockdown. If you have already submitted your application, there is no need to do it again. This extension was announced by the Director General of Nursing.
Distribution of Seats for LHV Program:
The seats for the LHV Program for the 2023-2025 session are allocated as follows:
- 35% of seats are for students from all over Punjab on open merit. Candidates from the concerned districts can also compete for these seats.
- 65% of seats are reserved for candidates from each district on a closed merit basis.
- Special consideration is given to existing LHV/Midwives and employees of the Health Department.
- There’s also a departmental quota and a quota for children of Health Department employees.
