New Nokia’s Lumia 928 hits Verizon with Elegant screen design

Nokia has updated its flagship Windows Phone line with the , which resembles the well-received 920 in many ways, but has a tweaked design and new display.the Nokia Lumia 920 and the Nokia Lumia 820, the update will be rolled out in phases to both devices

The list of non-cosmetic differences between the 928 and its AT&T-exclusive older sibling is quite short. They both have a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage space, dual cameras (including a Pureview one one the back), and so on.

There’s really only one important change apart from the carrier: The 928’s new display, while it’s the same size and resolution as the 920’s, is AMOLED instead of LCD, which should bring better battery life and improved contrast.

Reviewers enjoyed the 920’s size, build quality, and design, so the new phone has a lot to live up to, but a good pedigree. It’ll be available on May 16 for $150 with a two-year contract — and don’t forget to send in the $50 mail-in rebate.

Here’s a little hands-on video provided by Nokia, if you’re curious how it looks in real life.
