Colombo: Pakistan and Australia have qualified for the semi-finals of the ICC Twenty20 World Cup 2012, sending India and South Africa home.
In order to Qualify for the semis, India had to win their match against South Africa with a margin of 31 runs. The Indian team failed to restrict the Proteas on 121 runs, chasing a target of 153 runs, thus getting out from the race of semi-finals.
Earlier Pakistan beat Australia by 32 runs in their crucial match of the Super Eight rounds of the ICC World T20 on Tuesday, boosting their chances to make it for the semi-finals.
Pakistan has always reached in the semis of the tournament and it is for the fourth time the team has achieved the milestone.

Soon after Pakistani team qualified for the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup, the enthusiastic youngsters poured out on the streets of the different cities including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peashawar and Quetta, chanting slogans in the favour of their national team and congratulating each other for the milestone their country achieved.
