Rawalpindi: Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah on Friday urged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to immediately determine a course of action to weed out terrorism, saying including military operation Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) will support every decision made by the government in this regard. Speaking to media representatives at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) where he visited to inquire about the health of injured of Rawalpindi and Bannu bombing incidents, Shah said the persistent terrorism is weakening the country and writ of the state must be maintained at all costs.
“The entire nation was united to fight terrorism and the time has come to take a final decision to wipe out the elements taking lives of innocent people,” said Shah, who was flanked by former federal ministers Qamar Zaman Kaira and Nazar Mohammad Gondal. “We are thinking why are our security personnel and civilians are being targeted. We must sit together and the government will have to take a final decision against terrorists,” added Shah. He said country is undergoing its most critical time and no political party should score points on the issue of terrorism.
