Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif has announced 5 Lac rupees to help for the family of gang-rape who died got suicide after not gaining justice from Muzaffargarh police. 18 year old Aamna bibi who was a student of FA Part 2 had set herself in fire outside Bait Mir Hazar Khan police station after sprinkling petrol over herself on Thursday in protest against the alleged faulty investigation and bail of suspects who allegedly attempted to rape her.
Shahbaz Sharif visited the family of the victim in Muzaffargarh today and expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of girl. The Chief Minister was accompanied by Inspector General (IG) Punjab, Chief Secretary Punjab and other provincial officers. He assured the family that those responsible in the incident will be brought to Justice.
Taking stringent action against the police officials who allegedly mishandled the gang-rape case, Shahbaz Sharif issued the directives of the suspension of DPO Muzaffargarh Usman Akram Gondal, and the forthwith arrests of DSP Saddar, Bait Mir Hazar SHO and as well as Investigation Officer.
